About Lifeline’s Mission

Lifeline Aid Group is a Trans, Queer, AAPI, Hispanic, Indigenous and Black led & run nonprofit formed by several volunteers after seeing the need in St Louis for housing, food access, medications/health, and safety experienced by the people who are homeless, refugees, and adjacent populations. Our goal is to help people get off the street and into supportive housing.

Currently, we are working on a food distribution program and have plans for 2024 onward to create a food distribution hub as well as a safe space for people to come get assistance with jobs & housing.

Our volunteers & Board Members have experience in winter outreach, including emergency efforts to provide pop up shelters during the worst of the cold weather since the winter of 2017-2018. We’ve partnered with various local outreach groups such as RedBike. There are many fantastic local organizations we will continue to cross-support as we work to end homelessness in our region.

In the meantime, we also work to eliminate severe frostbite among the people experiencing homelessness by distributing emergency warming supplies as soon as temps start to dip. We’ve distributed thousands of handwarmers, hundreds of quality gloves, and tents, tarps, heaters and fuel this winter. We also work to identify the victims of frostbite and coordinate medical aid for them.

Already in 2024, we ran a 40 bed Emergency Winter Shelter at Bethel Church for 10 days during a -5° cold snap.

We firmly believe that helping all of us, takes all of us.

We have a Silver certification from Guidestar.
